Aremun Podcast 71 – Allen (M_Rec Ltd. / Attic Music)

Allen’s music can best be described as a mix of bleepy and hypnotic rhythms which often travel into more dark and static filled dimensions.

His music is heavily influenced by science fiction and outer space and aims to give the listener a view into his vision of the future.

While still a relative newcomer to the techno scene, his debut EP “Gravity Assist” was released in 2014 via the Italian imprint M_Rec ltd. Played and supported by artists like Regis,Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Luke Slater, Nina Kraviz and more, he saw his first international release become quite a success.

In 2015 the Berlin based artist and Berghain resident Function,included Allen’s track “Kepler” in his Berghain 07 DJ mix.

Prior to his foray into techno production, Allen was concentrating most of his efforts producing and djing drum and bass.Inspired by artists such as Stakka and Skynet,Kemal and Rob Data (Konflict) and Ed Rush and Optical, this techno influenced sub-genre of drum and bass (often referred to as “techstep”) remained his primary focus throughout the mid 90’s and into the early 2000’s.

In 2010 Allen was introduced to techno and combined with his early techstep influences, Allen has evolved these elements into his signature style of futuristic and riff driven tracks of present day. Hard at work in the studio,fine-tuning his skills, Allen continues to develop his unique brand of Techno and listeners can expect some big things from this up and coming artist!
